Vidya Balan Furious About Being Misquoted On Award Wapsi Movement

The Award Wapsi movement is gaining momentum with many filmmakers including Dibakar Banerjee returning their National Awards in support of the FTII students' protest (FTII protest: Dibakar Banerjee and 8 others return National Awards, October 28).
Now, Vidya Balan has come in the eye of the storm.
The actress, who won the National Award for The Dirty Picture, was quoted, "Those who begged or purchased the awards are returning them and (the ones) who earned (them) are keeping them because National Awards are given by people, not Government. I will never return my award (sic)."
However, Vidya took to Twitter to set the record straight. The actress pointedly stated that she was misquoted and that she'd never say such a thing.
